What is the "Patreon" Program?
The “Patreon” Program is a channel to receive voluntary donations and raise funds in order to continue promoting mental health in Colombia and different Latin American countries. The directors of EQ Mentores, Ruben Echavarria and Aleja Ordóñez, began receiving donations from their friends and family and were surprised by their generous hearts. Now we feel very grateful because we are receiving donations from clients and other people who follow us on social networks.
Did you know that, according to the WHO, in 2017 Depression affected 5.8% of the Latin American population, that is to say; approximately 38.2 million people?
Did you know that, according to the Pan American Health Organization, in 2017 6.5% of the Latin American population suffered from some type of anxiety disorder, such as generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, or social phobia?
Did you know that, according to the Pan American Health Organization, in 2017 around 2.6% of the Latin American population suffered from some type of substance abuse disorder, such as dependence on alcohol, cocaine or marijuana?
A SAD REALITY: As we can see, Mental illnesses are a silent evil that affects more people and more families every day. to the point that the suicide rate in Latin America and the Caribbean is 9.4 per 100,000 inhabitants, according to the 2020 report (WHO), so it is important to take measures to prevent this sad reality and provide support to those who they need it more.

2. Therapeutic Center for the treatment of addictions

We meet in the financing stage of the future addiction therapeutic center, with adequate facilities to help young people and adults recover from their addictions and start a new and renewed life. Imagine a place where inmates can receive treatment in psychiatry, psychology, family therapy, art therapy, theotherapy and other strategies to overcome a wide range of addictions, from chemical dependency to gaming addiction and much more.

The professional team of EQ Mentores together with the GatoVerso Communications Agency, motivated by the need to provide our knowledge to the people who need it most, initially we took our time and financial resources to create valuable content permanently.
Some of these contents are for example VideoPodcasts with different special guests and Podcasts on disease prevention and mental health promotion in our Channels of Youtube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Telegram Support Group “Living Better”, among others. This demands important human and technical resources in which we have to invest to nourish the community and give it greater reach.
